En un angle del Carrer de Sant Jeròni es troba el palau dels Sintas, encara que exteriorment passa quasi desapercebuda. Una porta paredada al mig de la façana obre nous interrogants. Possiblement no és un portal cegat, sinó simplement figurat, per definir el ritme simètric del conjunt, al que donen lleugeresa els tres balcons dotats d’artístiques parabandes, i dues finestres en alternància. El balcó central corona els seus atributs heràldics, escollits de l’època, quarteretjant apareixen les armes dels llinatges familiars: Carreras,Gomila, Serra i Sintas.

L’origen del casal es remunta al tinent Pasqueda, que desembarcà a Menorca a primers de s. XVIII . La casa va ser restaurada fa uns quants anys. Té un aire acollidor, lluminós i tranquil, gens imposat. Algunes sales s’obren al gran jardí assolellat i tranquil. Parets blanques de calç i terres enratjolades de ratjoles de terra vermella, representen la part més antiga de la casa.

A la gran sala s’hi conserven els retrats familiars: el de Gil Pasqueda, del pintor Ciutadellenc Andreu Galbis; el del Comte de Lannion, de Giuseppe Chiesa i una col.lecció de marines de principis de segle XIX.

Les sales que discorren al llarg del carrer, enratjolades amb precioses rajtjoles hexagonals mostren un habitatge al estil francés. Una discreta ornamentació daurada llueix als vestiments de les portes i la fusteria blanca, els retrats, el moblatge isabelí, tapissat de vermell a joc amb els cortinatges, la llum que juga a través de les llàgrimes penjants de les làmpades de cristall, creen una atmosfera d’opulència, reflectida per igual en les alcoves amb llits de cobricel, atmosfera que no desvirtua en cap moment el caràcter d’intimitat i l’ambient casolà del palau que li han donat els seus propietaris.
